Emily Murphy Assumes Role of Marketing Communications Coordinator

We take great pride in our company culture. After all, those values and ideas are a big driver here at SPOC, and we want to share them, as well as the leading-edge products we design and manufacture.

Yes, indeed, we want to spread good news! And now the task of promoting all that and more is in the extremely capable hands of Emily Murphy, our new Marketing Communications Coordinator. Emily will assist with all aspects of the company’s marketing initiatives, including the development of marketing programs and sales support. Internally, she’ll also shine the light on our Lift Up campaign, helping our terrific staff support our company, customers, country and each other.

“Emily not only has talent,” says Bobby Mason, President of SPOC Automation, “she also has an energetic spirit. We see her making a big contribution here, playing a vital role in expanding and continuing to improve our social media presence. To be sure, she’ll also serve as, what I’ll call, a ‘primary spark plug’ to our Lift Up program.”

A native Texan, Emily is a recent graduate of Texas Woman’s University. Already, she has earned a reputation as a quick learner, a team player and an innovative thinker. Most recently, she worked at her alma mater in Denton, Texas, where she helped construct and manage budgets; created marketing materials; and compiled, executed and maintained data analytics based on business development.

Perhaps some of that energy that Bobby mentions stems from the fact that Emily is the only girl in a family full of boys. When not on the job, she directs some of her energetic spirit into devouring books and into cross-stitching. Emily says she also has “a freakish talent for remembering song lyrics and movie quotes, and I can usually pull out a random fun fact about pretty much any topic.”

She and her husband, James, moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at the end of 2018, and he attends the University of Alabama. “We love to travel,” she continues. “We lived overseas in Kuwait from 2014 to 2017 and vacationed all over Europe and Asia during that time. I love food and wine, so travelling was an amazing experience!”

Welcome, Emily!
